Here we go. They can probably be modified to mute audio, not transmit data wirelessly, etc,. But who is really going to trust these trucking companies that lie about everything else under the sun? And who is to trust the tech company running the servers if they do transmit data wirelessly? What about hackers?
Now I can't stand these drivers who would come on now and say, "what are you worried about? You doing something you shouldn't while driving?". Well maybe I'm eating a donut. Doesn't matter, I just don't want to be recorded, even in select "critical events." The advocates dogmatically deny that this will ever get out of hand or become a slippery slope to something even more intrusive. But history tells us otherwise. -
