As for my Class and a few prior, it will be $4000 for the in-house training and another grand for room, board and bus ticket to Cedar Rapids. That adds another grand and they start deducting for that once you hit week 9 on the road, as I recall.
All classes coming in on or after November 1 of this year have increased costs...$6500 for the classes and a 10 month contract.
crst contract..uuughh!!!!

I'm inclined to agree with you there, Snowlauncher. Your post didn't bother me, I just wanted to make sure of who it was aimed at.

I don't get it .....the op is under contract to crst, but their not paying him. They fired him and he owes them money. So why can't he drive a truck for someone else ....?
superflow Thanks this. -

Gunner75...I wish mine were that long...2.5 weeks then onto a truck for 28 days/12000 miles. Four grand for training, $900 expenses and 8 months.

And here's the kicker...one week in classroom to get permit then one and a half weeks...90 degree, offset and straight backing and learning the DOT test route half a day and the other half in class room learning book lessons. Ergo, speaking only for myself, a safe bet would be 8 to 10 hours of actual drive time, same hours in backing and the balance of the time in the class room. Parallel parking a rig and box trailer were an unknown until I actually got out there with my lead driver/trainer.

Because companies don't hire drivers if they're under contract.Meaning CRST won't remove him from their files until he pays off the contract.

Cat sdp, as noted above, fired or quit...I'm under contract and CRST is all too happy to sue anyone else who hires me.
