I'm still failing to see your point... once in awhile the inevitable happens (traffic, weather, etc). What you just complained about were things within your control.

    What variables?

And off loaded by 930? If I was at the consignee the night prior, if it wasn't a tarp load, 9 out of 10 times I would unsecure the load that night. In the morning when the employees show up, usually between 6 and 730 I would pull in and be off loaded fast! I would have my empty in by between 7 and 8 and be on my way immediately. I would do 5 and sometimes 6 loads in a 5 day period by hustling, I never really complained because I was taking home great paychecks!

what is in my control there? your on a 14 hour clock that doesn't stop once its started.. once you start that truck at the consignee that you just dropped your load off at after sitting there for 10 hours. if you bounce to the shipper and sit there for hours its hours off your clock.. im not getting what MY wrongdoing is?

yea IF they are willing to start unloading at that time.. That's a variable im talking about.. getting the consignee to unload the truck.. do you not think I did that before? So you wake up at 5-6 and then they don't get the truck unloaded until 9. good idea. lol I cant pull them by the arm and make them work. same with the shipper

When I 1st read it, I thought you were saying you were losing time getting unloaded.

Been driving solo for 3 months, thats three times longer than you. And I have yet to run into issues as bad as you say. With the exception of shippers taking several hours to load me like Bull Moose tube or AK Tube, it happens. But Ive never not gotten 5 loads or a couple of 6 load weeks unless I was broke down. If youve gotten to the consignee's the night prior, you would never have issues with getting unloaded asap, so long as you wasnt waiting in line behind others. Even then, you should get unloaded fairly quick.

You need to understand, these trucks are not your daily commuter car/suv. They are under extreme stresses, therefore they are going to breakdown a hell of a lot more than a normal car or pick up. You as a truck driver are going to have to learn to fix minor issues on the trucks if you want to keep moving. If you cant do that, then by all intensive purposes, you will fail as a truck driver. That is only on you, no one else. In the end. There is a hell of a lot more to your story than you are telling us. Why? Because I can tell you not one person Ive spoken with as a TMC driver tells me anything like your telling us here. I think you screwed up enough that they were looking to get rid of you, and you just quit to save yourself the embarrassment of getting fired.

are you kidding me bro? don't come at me with these bit ch moves behind the keyboard. I was a mechanic with another company as it is my first career. there is nothing more to this story. I quit plain and simple. you couldn't do anything more then what I was doing for this company. I cant force people to unload and load me any faster and you know this. IF it was something on my end that I could get the load there on time within the guidelines of my duties, then I would have done it. Im just not gonna bust my balls working 16 hours a day for such low pay regardless of how long ive been there. hell I could work 80 hours a week at Walmart and make more then you do at this company.. don't be a fool

And if you didnt communicate that with your fm, that is your failure, not tmcs. One thing ive learned in my short time driving, truckers seem to always find a reason to complain and blame everyone else for their shortcomings, no ##### moves from me, im coming at you with all honesty, and I seriously doubt you are telling the entire story.

Is hard to believe anything anyone says when it's always the companies fault, even more so when there are plenty of circumstances that prove to the contrary. Stop making excuses for yourself, accept responsibility for your lack of willingness to do the job and move on. It's obvious that you was never a good fit for tmc. By the way, when I have a full 5 loads in a week I've yet to gross less than 1000. and ive never had a 16 hour day, I usually always burn up my 14hr clock with loading and unloading, load checks, and pretrips.
