Companies in the north east that will train with cdl permit

    Hmm, Thats not what I saw at the event. Most did not have a CDL. The key is to look when a hiring event is taking place then apply and follow up with a recruiter. But at least getting a permit will get you noticed.

    I was actually going to go to a hiring event in Pennsylvania a few weeks ago, but you had to call and get prequalified by a recruiter, and she told me their CDL school was full so they were only hiring with CDL's at this time. I have a permit. Did they give you an offer?

    Good chance of the possibility of offer. Still waiting. The one thing that always seems to be something that makes you stop and think is the $13.50 per hour starting pay. I hear guys can make $70k plus in the first year with this wage, but I'm not entirely sure. Benefits start right away which is nice.
