Guess i am going to learn to fold tarps one handed. -
I don't oil gloves-wish I could get a pair to last long enough to be worth trying tho. I wear holes thru the fingers and tear open the palms on gloves. At least a pair every 3 weeks. Even harder in winter when the glove that are really warm aren't really tough. Wrap them all up in gorilla/ duct tape and they hold out a little longer. But still not very long.

I found some of these at Freightliner in SLC. I would have gone through a few pair of leather gloves in the time I've had them. So far so good but they would be terrible in cold weather. -
Found a good way to keep my binders lubricated. I took the hooks all the way off. Then I took a lube gun and injected a bunch inside and then wound them all the way in and back out again.
It's been two months and they are still good. Originally I used WD-40 but it would wash off in the rain, then I switched to a synthetic spray which was marginally better.
Now I only have to spray the gear and switch with synthetic spray every couple weeks if its been raining.AubieDoc87, Rodeorowdy and Lepton1 Thank this. -

I like to throw my wore out gloves in with the chains or straps and use them for protectors.
-
I use old or scuffed straps no good for securement, cut them in 3ft lenghts and fold them in half to use as strap protectors.skellr and jdmredneck33 Thank this.
