I think you guys are missing the point of what my hotspot is. I have a smart phone and it was NOTHING to do with my wifi hotspot. The hotspot is a different device.

WPA2 is still secure. WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) has a security hole big enough to drive a truck through.

Ya, it took me a while to realize everyone thought I was using my phone as a hotspot. My phone and hotspot are both Sprint. It's weird. If I'm in a bad spot with no hotspot signal I have a full signal on my phone for the internet and vice verse.

so i was thinking of buying the sprint samsung galaxy tab 4. 16 gig memory and sparks capable. which is sprints newer 4g technology. verizon calls theirs XLTE.

tablets and hotspots don't come with unlimited internet offers. you pay for each gigs plan.

the smart thing to do is buy a phone somehow. that can be rooted or hacked or what ever flavor you get. sign up for the no contract no credit check. $60 unlimited EVERYTHING. hack your device and use an app that will get around paying for the actual hotspot plan. that's much cheaper then paying for limited internet.

i use an app called wifi tether. it shows me useage right on the screen everytime i use the app. and there are apps that will keep track of your total monthly useage to which you set the date for your billing cycle.

$60 on my phone gets me unlimited talk, text, internet. $60 for that samsung tab4 would get me 6 gigs internet only.
