    Left duals on.

The main thing they chastised me for was that I didnt cover up the slow moving vehicle triangle thats perminantly lamenated to the back of the machine. Said if I leave it like that I cant go over 25mph. Sheet of printer paper and duct tape satisfied them.

Right after I left poe, cruise control and jake stopped working. Only place that could look at yesterday was Wyoming CAT. Turned out to be a safety switch on the clutch. Easy fix. I thought I was looking at an expensive repair.

About to hit Utah POE in about 45 mins.

  6. It was a very easy run.

I was curious if you were up north after this storm? I haven't had a chance to see if Ashlan or grant had powder on them?

  7. uploadfromtaptalk1418491107061.jpg who says weed doesn't make money. Well. I knew getting an easy load. Would follow with a mess like this. uploadfromtaptalk1418491161767.jpg I think I might have a kitchen sink.

I think next time I do one of these I'm going to head all of you guys advice and have the duals removed.

I got hung up in traffic going through Caldwell yesterday. Merge lane turns into a right lane. Id have people passing me on the right. So I move over only to have the right lane turn into an exit only 2 miles ahead of me and you know how 4 wheelers just love to let us back over. Then the next merge turned back into a right lane and then exit only again. If I was 9'3 wide it wouldnt be so bad,.. I'd feel safe riding the middle lane. But at 11'8, its too much to safely stay in the middle with traffic on both sides.

So I bow down, live and learn. Mucho respecto to you guys. Next time if I can get it narrower,.. those wheels are coming off.

    Easy load bro.

Hey man I notice your running a 387.

My wife says there is an 03 387 not far from home for sale. Says 475hp 6NZ on the windshield with a $25k price. Has a headache rack. She said it looked clean inside when she looked through the window. I dont know any more then that.

My carrier says to stay away from 387's. I kinda like the roominess they have. I've never been one to listen to anyone anyway,.. so I gotta ask. How much can you scale with that 48' flat? What size are your tanks? Wheel base?

I want to pull 53' step of course. My concern is the weight.

What motor/tranny do you have and what kind of mpg do you typically see? Oh,.. and your gear ratio?

    Thanks,

  10. I would suggest grab it. You can tune it up to 550 - 600 HP. You should check carrier bearing, wheel seals, clutch fan, radiator, thermostats. Basics for 387
Scaling. I can push 47,500 lbs. Right now. If I dump snow chains, vboards, and some other winter stuff I can pull 48k. Tanks are the Useable ( 100 gal per side). 235" wheel base.
. I have the c-15 tweaked running a 13spd. Not sure on gears, stock is 336. Or 355. I know the 2003 has 355. Could be stock. But I can run 75 in 13th at 1500rpm. But happy with 62- 65 cruising speed. Mpg is. Mid 5's to high 6's( mountains are typically low mpg.)
But I can pull cabbage with 47k at 50mph no issues.

Hope this helps a little. Stay away from super 10 or 10_speeds. With the axles ratios some mountains you will have issues climbing or descending. You can't be in the middle of a gear. Ones two high other to low. 13_is ideal 18 is a dream.

    cnsper and Cetane+ Thank this.

I haven't been north of Redding since this big one but I don't think it was supposed to snow over Ashland and that's the highest point on I-5. The snow level was at like 6,000 ft
