So what do you care if the warranty is voided? Do you pay for the repairs?

If you weren't dirty then why are you complaining so much? You think Roehl is the only company to do a UA after an injury or time away from the company?

    You didn't feel safe? :biggrin_25512:

How much time did you have with the company? My bet is you weren't there long enough to qualify for family sick time. If you could say you were coming back in 30 days you wouldn't have been "terminated". But if you couldn't give them that assurance they had to "terminated" you. Did anyone tell you you could reapply and get rehired? My husband had to have back surgery I was only with them for a month. I didn't have enough time to have family sick leave. I was told if I came back within 30 days I didn't have to reapply. After 30 days I would have to reapply and go through orientation. Which is what happened. What's the big deal? By the way. When my husband was ready to return to work he had to do a UA also. So you were not singled out.

    That's a new one.

Were you already home when you had the discussion with your DSR? Did you get paid monthly as well?

Ok you are an experienced truck driver and worked for Sure Wished I Finished Training, and you didn't know that you were to bring the truck to a terminal? Where was your DRG? Under a table to prop up a short leg?

    And Swift does?

Right like another company is going to give you a glowing report of a rival company.

Good luck with your new company.

Ok let's try this again but slower for the lower functioning crowd. You said 3000-3500 miles a week. Now bear in mind I am only using your numbers so garbage in garbage out you know the drill

You say you work 11 out 3 off that equates to 287 days out and 78 days off a year(Makes that LTL job look even better huh)

Here's the rub however. 27,000 miles a quarter(Again your number) works out to 108,000 miles a year(Which as I'm sure you're painfully aware of doesn't even make the mileage bonus). !08,000 divided by 287 days of work is only 376 miles a day average. Here is the funny part (Or sad depending on where you're looking from)376 miles a day by seven days a week is...drumroll...2,632 miles a week. Dude are ya driving the truck or pushing it?

Now please don't for one minute think I really give two poops about you or your inability to get the job done. I could care less really. I just found it funny that just a few months ago YOU were the cheerleader running folks down that were quiting. Bet we can even find quotes from you attacking Homeboy. He was only doing what he has always done which is provide a humorous conscience like voice to wide eyed green horns. Course his facts and numbers always added up which gives him credibility. So calm down tough guy, five more months and you are home free.

Good one on the grammer, question for you. If my logs show that I have driven over 30,000 miles in that quarter and I have less than 100 out of route miles and Roehl claims 26500 miles who is getting the raw end. Yes I was a cheerleader for Roehl and I still am from a training point. I know you will say we all loose miles because of the paid miles and that is true. It is odd though and some of those mileage differnces are getting alot bigger, as much as 10%. Maybe the fact that 2 of my DSR's were fired from Ellenwood is a issue with me. Because both sucked and Carl and Sean always sided with them and now they are fired for sucking at thier job. My latest DSR sounds like she has marbles in her mouth and gets pissed cuz I don't understand Ebonics. She tried to launch me 60 hours after a 12 day run and then she got tweeked cuz I asked her why I didn't get 72 hours off. She blames everything on the planners. She will tell me I am one of her better drivers because she knows I will hit right at 650-700 miles a day if needed and do it legit, I have never had a service failure and have been used to shuttle drivers home from Atlanta witout complaining. So I am not a malcontent but rather a driver that takes pride in my ability and only expects promises of my employer to be upheld.

Oh by they way, I only wanted to meet so you could buy me 2 Pilot hotdogs for 2.22, I prefer the Jalapeno hot dogs.

Question? Don't you keep records on the miles you run loaded and mt from your load assignments and compare it to your settlement sheets? As a team to qualify for the performance bonus we have to have 48,000 miles. We had a little over 56,000 for the first quarter. And as a team we get an additional team mile bonus of $.15 a mile over 48,000. Thats a nice extra paycheck each quarter.

I am confused now. You logged 30,000(I assume you are rounding real close with these numbers) got paid 26,500 but where is the only 100 out of route miles coming from? The 100 seems real low to me. If you had 26,000 miles paid I would guess you should have 27,300 actual or at most 28,600 actual. That would be five and ten percent respectively which are entirely normal. My concern would be more on how your actual days are going. For instance at the end of the day what are you averaging mph wise. If at the end of the day you show less than a 50 mph average I would address that. Many say there isn't much a driver can do to help themselves out in that regard but I beg to differ. It amazes me how much time slips away from us if we aren't paying attention to it. Look to the little things is the best thing I can say to you.

I remember the one dispatcher I had down in Atlanta. She was a nightmare on many levels and provided the inspiration for me to join the training dept. I had to get away from her. Not sure what you mean about Sean. I find him to be a good guy. I am biased however I was his trainer when he started as a driver.(There is another way to find out who I am, I put my name up once but it got taken down). I wouldn't want his job, think about it he can't win only maintain. He is the fourth or fifth terminal manager since I have been there.

Pilot hot dogs are good, I go for the Tabasco ones myself. Have you tried the hot dog joint across the road from the yard? It is fantastic.

PS Sorry about the grammar lesson, I grew up with a teacher for a mom and that stuff drives me nuts now.

southcross1,absolutely ignorant.Hey fella I made the grade, evidently you are too much of a whiner to make the grade. Sounds like you expect an employer to bow down to your needs. Whining will get you nowhere in the truckin industry. I did the military thing too many years before you were born. I stand by my statement,if you cant cut it look for a cushy job somewhere, where they will accmodate whiners.

Why is the term cheerleader used in a negative and derogatory tone on here? Because I like the company I drive for, and play point/counter-point with others that makes me a cheerleader? If Roehl didn't work out for you, sorry to hear it, but I am not on here calling those people a crybaby or whiner for stating their experience. Indeed, some posts take on a whiny tone, and I have stated that before, but name calling? Come on now. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't bother me; been called a lot worse before. Just curious why when I state my positive experiences in contrast to somebody stating their negative, I become a cheerleader.

Dont know about them cheerleaders, but when someone calls my statements ignorant I usually fire back. And for a fact the guy who is calling me ignorant sure sounds like a whiner,or crybaby. As I posted before the truck drivin life aint for everybody. That being a fact,he should look for another kind of employment. I paid my dues many years ago,and I realize it aint easy.

Mo, At the end of the day you put your daily miles in your log book on the upper right of that days log. I take all of those miles and add them togeather for the quarter. I get over 29000 miles. Then I log into payroll and look at my performance and it shows me the out of route miles I drove that specific month. For the first three months of the year I had actually less than 50 out of route miles. So then I get my bonus work sheet and it shows 26300 miles. A prime example is Ikea in Orlando. Take 95 south from Port Wentworth down to I4 in Florida, now the Qualcom shows 70 miles to the exit for Ikea from the I95 on I4 using Opti Stop. The true mileage is 125 miles nearly 40% differnt now do that both ways and you have just drove 100 free miles on that leg of the dispatch. Roehl is very aware of those miles or otherwise that would show on your out of route. Now if you go thru the RDTC and Roehls requires 120,000 miles to forgive your debt, I wonder how many miles we must really drive for them to repay the school. So here is my point, I watch my overspeed so I stay within 2%. I endure a little heat to keep my idle within Roehls limits. Now the funny part is the only thing I cannot control is the paid miles. Since Roehls controls that they have the ability to make or break my bonus. Now as far as my average speed when given the miles I always average over 60 and most the time around 63. Easy to do because my governor runs nearly 67 mph and my over speed beeps at 69. I was a big cheerleader of Roehls until I realized some of what I mentioned and their inability to give me a decent DSR in 4 tries. Now the to training DSR'S Terry and Dominic were awesome and if any of mine since we half as good as them I would be happy. I have really considered training which I can start doing in 3 weeks because my current DSR is horrible. I really think that she thinks all white males are the devil and she treats me like it and alot of other drivers that have had her told me the same thing.
