I just booked my first load, it picks up near Green Bay and going to Missouri.
Loaded miles according to google maps and route I'll take is 695 miles. Pay based on those miles is $2.13 to the truck.
Of course I'm gonna have to deadhead from the middle of nowhere from my first MT grab which will land me in the $1.60 range for all miles.
BUT it gets me away from the storms coming and into supposedly an "oversold" market.
No matter what I would have had to deadhead 200 miles + to get any load so overall I'm okay with the load I got.. especially being the market I'm going into is looking good.

The only thing I've ever picked up out of the up of michigan is the paper mill in escanaba, which I wouldn't choose to go to. Might find a load out of marinette, wi but haven't seen anything out of there lately either.

Been home for a week, enjoying time with my family. Kids are visiting from Florida, and we haven't even gotten to the actual holidays yet....

Life is what you make it, and my life is great...

I like what dfo said in an earlier post...

    "I don't care".....

I don't care what anyone else thinks about my truck, my paycheck, the way I run my business, etc etc etc...

I got into Choice for me and my family, and so far it is the best choice I have ever made regarding career and income...

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Enjoy time with family and friends if you can and if you want to....

    Roll on......

    I agree with you Sadwar..
Most of the time when someone wants your opinion here..what they are really asking for is your agreement on their point of view.
Which is why the arguments start.
I'm done arguing..which is hard for me as I'm Irish.
When it comes to what kind of truck, how much and where to run I'm mum on it.

Enjoy your Christmas buddy and don't wear yourself out with the new Xbox One!
