It was the FLD that reminded me of you. I might be looking to buy something like that eventually (but not for a while). Pre emissions stuff is in demand these days. Hope you are doing well!

Just scanned in my second trip. The Qcomm drill is pretty easy here. Only hitch was me forgetting to enter trailer number on the last load so it spit out the empty call and I couldn't get dispatched on the next load. I sent a message to dispatch and he called me to explain what happened while he fixed it. On account of I'm a noob. (He was very nice about it all, just wanted to be sure I knew how to prevent it happening again)
Easy run tomorrow, picks up 0800 then 240 miles to Indy delivers Monday morning. I'm not squawking because I need to do laundry and preserve my recap hours (on duty for orientation). After I put in for my home time in February I expect the tall miles will start on account of they won't be afraid of having me stuck on the west coast when I'm due home (covered in orientation).
Things are going well. I find myself flinching, waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can't help it; has to do with how I grew up. One fights the ghosts of one's past with heart, faith, and hard work. I'm too chicken to drink or do drugs.
First week is over. Pretty relaxing so far. I'll keep you posted, with occasional soap box sermonizing/pontificating/philosophising/prophesying, as long as you care to listen. Probably no real post tomorrow, laundry and quality time with The Hot Chick due to short miles.
Peace on you.Last edited: Dec 27, 2014

Oy. Oy vey. Today was one of those days that's so bad it spills over into the next day. I won't go into all the gory details except to say today and possibly tomorrow were ruined by the shipper; if you're reading this you've had days like mine and will again. I'm just going to burrow under these sheets and I'm not coming out til morning.
This, too, shall pass. And when it does I'll still be 350 pounds of raw sexuality stuffed into a 265 pounds body. So I've got that going for me. Which is pretty good.
I am Captain Zoom.
I am pretty.
(Man-pretty)Dominick253, Dinomite, 48Packard and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think you need to go back to selling cars. Your stories were wonderful. Just my opinion.

There are reasons many of us left the automotive business for trucking. After all the downsizing that has gone on, there is far less money to be made. That is what got me into trucking.

[QUOwhat's8Packard;4387740]I sold Lincoln/Mercury for a year before I started trucking. Small dealership with a good used car selection.[/QUOTE]
