I looked into leasing a truck and also buying a truck. No way I will ever lease one. The price they want to buy a decent truck is to expensive for me.
I am still planning on going back to SEC when I return to work. I think the insurance is lousy and the pay is to low but they always treated me very
well and I like the customized home time. Basically take off as much time as you want off. I also like the fact they don't run the east coast. If they
don't mind me taking off a few months every year than I will keep driving for them. If they did I would look at other companies with better pay and
benefits. I will never drive for another refer company again. To me it isn't worth all the BS that goes along with that kind of freight.

I never worked for GTI but the year has treated me fairly well. Did not get the flu shot this year and have been sick 2 times and had to miss 2 days of work because of the first time I got sick it was in middle of week. Company did not say anything other than don't come to work sick we don't want it. 2nd time was on Christmas day while on vacation did go to urgent care on that one which sucked but overall been a decent year. I am 45 years old and sometimes I feel older than dirt. But the fun part of it is I have to hand unload everything.(LOL)

Happy New Year to you guys. I just got home after spending another Christmas and New Years on the road. I think I have spent every major holiday in 2013 and 2014 in Alaska. Never drove for Gordon either, but the last year went alright. I had my little health scare due to hitting an unmarked frost heave in Alaska and feared it would end my driving career for good. I had two cervical fusions already and blowing another disc in my C-spine would have not been good.
Being brake checked for the second time in my driving career did work out alright since I got a Washington State Trooper that was not a truck hater and had some common sense. I did change jobs as well and have just finished my sixth trip North running for my friend.
I am alive and kicking and we will see what 2015 will bring.

I know how to work. I am just trying to figure out how to earn more money with working the same or even cut back some more. It's that work smarter not harder kind of theory. But you go Joe, Run Joe Run. :biggrin_25523:
