I think I'd be better off hiring someone and paying them 10% to camp on the load board. How sad is that :biggrin_25513:

I know others are comping it hard.. took many times I've seen great loads taken within a couple minutes of posting.

I'm picky. I dont want to go anywhere north of NYC unless necessary, No upstate NY west of 81 nothing below stuarts draft on 81 and nothing below richmond is typically what i'll do. Although i have days when I'll go to NC and to wilton ny or CT. Im hot and cold with where i go.

Any of you guys ever book a load then ask yourself why'd i do that. I just booked an impulse load. Thats what i'm calling it. A load of pretzels 16k from pa to jacksonville fl 1.21 pm 1110 . I pulled the trigger mostly because i wanted out of the north east and that load is light enough that i'll go under my 1.35 minimum and make a good profit.

    wow lol

if you're gonna take a cheap load don't go to Florida with it.. you could have gone 300-400 miles to Ohio with plenty of good freight there.
Run cheap for the shortest amount of miles to get you to a good load.

He thinks going in at 1.21 is cheap wait til he tries coming out of Jax heavy and cheaper. Always always look ahead but if you can make it work then carry on. I've booked impulse loads but they're usually hi paying and then I realize I don't wanna go there but now I have too. Try and find a load out of GA not FL.
