Wait 2 more years and then reapply,and LEAVE THE WEED ALONE ALLTOGETHER,then youll be able to pursue the Trucking Industry,this isnt the average regualar 9-5 where you punch in do 8 hours then go home,this INDUSTRY REQUIRES CONSTANT AND I DO MEAN CONSTANT AWARENESS,CONSTANT ATTENTION,even when your just sitting in your TRUCK,theres so much going you MUST BE AWARE OF,and weed slows down all REACTION TIME,REGARDLESS IF YOU THINK U CAN respond quick enuff

But reapply in 2 more years and continue to keep your record clean youll be fine
Recruiters only get you pre approved,to get you there based on pre-requsites

You still have to get past employers verified,pass d.o.t.physical,road test,sleep apnea test

So your still not completely out of the woods

Forget calling the safety dept,I just did and they sent me to the recruiter.So that's who you'll need to ask.But not today they are extrememly busy.Saftey was very nice.Im curious myself if a failed non dot drug test would be an issue.Thats why I called.

Bull crap don't take a grey dog across the country only to be told you are going back home. Nothing more embarrassing. Find out from the safety department yourself. They are the ones who approve drivers. Recruiters just get them in the door.

And if the recruiter tells you it's not a problem, have him send you an email stating that. This way, if it becomes an issue at orientation, you can show them that you did disclose it, and were told it was ok.

You needn't worry, it will be a problem. Failed drug tests of any sort must be over 4 years old to be accepted into the CDL apprenticeship program. The OP states they were 2 and 3 years ago... if he gets on the bus, he's coming home, and most likely on his own dime for concealing this, even if it is just an error of omission.

The first was a pre-employment screening about three years ago. The second stemmed from mandatory injury UA because I was hurt loading boxes and it was company policy. I have never been under the influence at work but had used recently enough to fail. I went through company procedure and eventually left on my own terms months later. This was two years ago. Both incidents were from marijuana.

Since the last incident, I have really made an effort to turn my life around. I have been drug-free for two years, held a job for longer than I had been back then, and was really excited to have this chance at trucking to prove I can do this. However, now I am concerned that my past will be brought up and come back to haunt me. I have worked really hard for this and the idea of being sent home because I messed up years before is killing me. My record is clean, my driving history is good- it is just those UAs I failed that are worrying me.

If someone could advise me or tell me what to expect, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Thank you all for your input. I feel like most of you read and understood my situation and genuinely tried to help. At this point in the thread, I believe I have enough information to make my next move so I am going to try to put this topic behind me. Hopefully it works out.

Got bad news,Prime will not accept you and they will find out about the drug test even though you didn't put it on your application.So you might be SOL no matter who you apply to.I told recruiter it was my neighbor.

If he can get a private or community college CDL school; there's companies that will hire him.
