Just wondering this and also what is legal or not legal , the trucking company lie like crazy to get drivers in their equipment , they are almost always very friendly at first but then after awhile the steering wheel turns to crap & the driver finds out the hard way they have no choice but to find another job ,which puts more job history on their track record ,to top it all off the company will lie again about what you did to them , they can ruin a drivers career with lies & deceit ,sometimes out of pure spite just for resigning from their company , they want to know everything about the driver while the driver knows nothing about them , it would great if the drivers could check out a dac report on the people they getting involved with before wasting time & effort on another dead end job , yes we can get an ideal by talking to those who work with them but that leaves out alot of other things like : were you talking to a whiner or talking to a company brown face ? .....hopefully someday we have official information on the companies we apply for , i think this would also be a very big help in cleaning this industry up therefore making our highways alittle more safer with drivers takin heir more serious rather than having tired, wreckless, disgusted drivers because they have been ripped off ,junk equipment & drivers jumping thru hoops to keep their jobs getting the frght there on time or else we will destroy your career type of things we put up with ,we have DOT on our side , i guess it's about safety but then they give the trucking companies golden parashutes , if a drivers calls them out on the carpet on this

7 years. You have the right to dispute anything. And by law, they have to show your dispute in any and all future reports for that 7 years.

Then YOU SHOULD petition DAC, NO INFORMATION regarding ANY job can be for MORE THAN 7 years!

ALL it "can show", is the employer name ONLY, and that only lasts for a short time as well, and is removed!

The DAC driver history goes back 10 years (makes sense since the Dot requires a 10 year history for experienced drivers)

The basic Hireright background check goes back 7 years -- the one you'd get if you were applying for a job at AT&T.

Those are just the minimums. When you request your own file you see everything they have -- even things that may exceed their standard background check reporting period. A paying customer can also request a more thorough check for an additional cost.

Forever I'm saying. Even if you beat it in court (mine was thrown out). It's still on there.

DAC (now Hire Right) fall under the fair consumer credit report, and as such go back 7 years. I have never know any employer to go back more that that, like our driving records. My state as an example only goes back 3 years. So if an employer wanted a more comprehensive report, they pay for it. Otherwise under "normal circumstances", the employer will be satisfied with what they get. Now, MAYBE a Government job they MIGHT check deeper.

    and this.

    Thanks guys .....
Seems like all the information is negative on all reports ,maybe it's the way they word it ,....almost like you wrecked the truck , i had falcon turn me away because he couldn't read it right i guess , when i looked at the report myself i almost believed i had an accident myself and i have never put a scratch on any equipment ever
