Never had a problem seeing 10 years(except way back when they first started)Only notes I have ever seen was that the employer is no longer a subscriber but still showed dates. And really doesn't matter if the employer shows there anymore or not. If someone was a W-2 employee(not a contractor) it's very easy to get all the info from other sources. Just like tracking multiple DL's back to when the state first computerized their systems.

I never had any real problems either, only bad DAC (2) I ever had was "review required before re-hire", and those were jobs I upped and quit, and would NEVER go back to, and in fact, they went "belly up" afterwards

Never any NO to rehire. Never any other NO answers to any of the usual questions as well.

I just went by the rules of 7 years, you're gone.

A DAC can show (at least) verifiable employment when the dates are included, but I was always able to provide past W-2's as well. Now I laugh, many times (it is said) we should keep our tax records for 3 to 5 years. Jeez, I got'em going back to the 1990's lol

Hello everyone. I have been off the road since 2003. I recently requested a copy of my DAC report, and I just received it 2 days ago. It shows every driving job that I had since 1997. It also shows (1) accident/incident that I had with JB Hunt. I had a paper roll shift in 2000. I had to lock down the brakes when a car pulled out onto the highway right in front of me. The rolls slid up to the front of the trailer. I could not believe they actually reported something like that. I had a safe driving record the whole time I was there.

Ok, now you got me to order one up on myself. I selected "all reports" rather than 3 years worth.
Now I am curious too as to how far back mine will go, and when it comes in I'll get back.

Sheesh, I too hauled those huge rolls of paper, very heavy. Do you remember where you picked them up at?

I picked those up at a mill in Maine one time, forget the town, but I left the mill, drove 12 miles to cat scale, was over gross, returned to shipper, 1/2 mile away DOT set up the portable scales and pulled me in, they were not there when I went past on the way to the scale. I showed him the weight ticket and the bills and explained my situation, he just did a level 3/and let me go. Went to the mill, had them cut one roll from the load and left legal, DOT was no where to be seen. Hit and Run!

Believe it or not, it was some wheres north of Beaumont TX off of one of the state roads. I ended up bring the truck over to the "Flying J" off of I-10 in (Orange?) since it was close by. I opened the trailer doors after I got there and saw that all the rolls had slid to the front of the trailer. I also remember as I was pulling into the flying J.............I was checking my mirrors and saw that my trailer R/S tires were coming off the ground while making the turn. I had already called my dispatcher in Emporia Virginia and told her exactly what happened. Didn't matter.............corporate was lighting up my Qualcom every 5 seconds asking me ( how many cars involved, number of injuries, why wasn't the load secured, why couldn't I finish the run if there was no damage etc. etc. etc.). My terminal manager finally got involved and explained to corporate that it was a sealed load, and that the rubber mats placed under the rolls was pretty much.......standard procedure from this shipper. I guess it didn't matter because it is on my DAC.

I did quite a few paper loads out of Rumford Maine, ( New Page Corp.) the people in the mill were pretty good at getting the loads right. I used their scale on the property.

I had made a pick up or two at a mill in Jay, ME. I ain't been there in many years, so I do not know if that company still exists or is even under the same company name. Rte 4 I believe comes to mind getting in and out of there, very steep hill?

I was in that area, but never picked up any rolls of paper in that part of the country. Most of any paper products I would pick up and delivered were here up and down the east coast.
