I really believe that most male truckers think women of color are so dumb and they don't put effort into it,,, they just say hard left hard right now back up,,,,, okay i'm like where when how to angle with the cones and how to adjust and correct when it does not look right

Stop living in the 19th century, and stop listening to Jesse Jackson. You're brainwashed.

This will go down hill real fast.

Op you seem to be blaming everyone else for your issues with backing. I have not seen you take any responsibility at all for your lack of skills.

Playing the race card on this site will only end up getting the thread shut down. Happens every time.

If you really want help stop blaming others even if they are at fault and take the advice people here are giving you.

Biggest issues I see with how schools teach backing is that their methods do not work well for smart people.
Want me to explain that? LOL

The schools these days will mostly teach a step by step method of turn the wheel this far, move till you see this in your mirror, then turn it this far the other way and back till you see this. etc.

The problem with teaching this method is that it only works if the starting angle and distance to cones is exactly correct, so exact placement of truck on setup is a must. If it is off much then the method will be off some, and more work is needed to get the truck in that location.

So for those of us that think. We try to analyze the situation and try to figure out the "why" of each step. Since we are not taught steer and counter steer, the time it takes to learn the method is extended, while we figure it out ourselves. Which takes allot more time if nobody understands what is causing our issue, or the teacher does not have a firm understanding of proper teaching methods.

Since it sounds like you will not have anyone at that school with the understanding to teach you the "why" of the situation. You really need to work on proper setup of the back. Make sure the tractor and trailer are exactly where they need to be to properly preform the maneuver they are trying to have you do.
Even once on the road, setup is key to backing in many situations. If you set up wrong in a tight dock or truckstop you will not make it into that hole.

5 would only take 1 hand.

Blaming someone else will get you nowhere on this site.

If you have a problem with the school bring it up with the administration. If you want help with backing explain some of the issues you're having and people on here will help you out.
