Mofoman, ur definately not politiclly correct. This may be bad, and may be good.

On one hand political correctness is killing America.

I have to take exception at this statement about Knight. I've worked for them for over a year now (20 years total trucking), and have experienced NONE of what you are describing. No, they are not perfect, but no trucking company is perfect. The perfect trucking job would be one where you go when and where you want to, and get paid $2000 (take home) every week, regardless of the miles.

Not to be nasty, but maybe you, and the rest of the complainers, would be better suited to making fries at McDonalds?

    THBatMan8 and DrtyDiesel Thank this.

Lets see i work for Barr Nunn 99 days. Went to Ohio for three day training. Got out of class on Wednesday had to wait until Friday night to get truck. They had brought several trucks in that had been abandoned and trashed. I wonder why. received 500.00 that Friday . I asked where lunch was on Friday they told me it was basically on me. They had a 750.00 dollar sign on bonus. 500 at first week and 250. in 90 days. If you leave early they threaten to ding your credit report with 750.00 plus all motel and food, transportation expense. Two layovers a week , If they did not have load and you were due to go home the will not pay for trip to house but yet they will load you out less than 100 miles from where you live . You had to go that way to sart with . No lay over pay. Stranded for 3 days due to Ice storm ,when asked about layover was told they would cover one night but no more. Barr Nunn Is By Far The Worst company I have ever worked for. DRIVERS REMEMBER THIS,,, If a company has to pay you a sign on bonus, its because they can't get any drivers to work for them. Truck stayed in shop due to recall i got no allowance or any pay .I had to even take it 40 miles to shop and drop it off and pick it up.:biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513:New Drivers don't be taken in by Sign on bonus. Its not a company worth working for.

1200 bucks a week for 17-2200 miles a week. Uh. My brain is going into overload mode. I cant compute those numbers. You say what. 1200 a week for 17-2200 miles.

It is possible......I make 1300 to 1400 a week and drive 148 miles a night......however I work a total of about 11 hrs a night so kit isn't always in the miles you drive.

that company's turnover rate was something like 80%. EIGHTY FRIGGIN PERCENT!!!!

For most companies, 80% is a good turnover rate
