I have been driving for a small 6 truck fleet. Things going down hill fast.
Fuel cards turned off, then when we can get fuel they tell me 300 bucks at a time!
It was nice having trucks that run with no governor but the company DOT score is now in the 80's.
A couple drivers ruined us by never touching log books or checking tires and mechanical stuff on pre-trips.
I went through a full inspection in Kentucky Monday night and had zero violations. It is just a pain we are a big target for DOT with such a high score.
I hate switching jobs again but I have a company in Charlotte offering me a job.
They have a great DOT rating, nice KW and Petes, decent pay and benefits.
Running regional and home on weekends,50% drop and hook and dedicated accounts.
I searched the forums and can't find a mention of them anywhere.
Any member drive or have worked for Red Baron Transport in the past?
Looking for some input on this Company.
Changing Company again!

Yep, anytime the fuel card gets shut off, so does one's paycheck soon enough! Bail outta there my friend.
I do not know of the company you ask about, I really wish you the very best. bail out NOW, or go down with the ship in the shark infested waters! -
Good luck here EZ! Sure sounds like it is time to make a change. Can't help you with knowledge about Red Baron, other than to be on the lookout for this silly old dog, flying his dog house!

Good luck man. Quite the roller coaster you've been on last couple years. Hopefully this one will be one you can land and stay at.

One of the benefits of going with larger carriers is financial and employment stability that provides security for those who depend on you for it.

Truckers normally keep bouncing from job to job until they get with a ltl carrier

Hi EZ, don't feel bad about changing companies. I know to some, job hopping looks bad, but as long as you stay with one profession, I feel it's justified. I've probably had 20 or more different trucking jobs in my career, and don't feel bad about it one bit. Look out for yourself. I've talked to drivers that said the boss owes them $10,000 dollars. I asked, how can you get that far behind? Their answer always seemed to be, well, he's a friend of mine, and pays a little on every settlement, and promises to pay the rest later. My response was, you're an idiot.
