Let's just say these last 2 weeks haven't been wonderdul. I've had 2 breakdowns with my former trick and one breakdown with my current truck. Was stuck in caldwell, Idaho waiting for them to open the road for that major wreck in Oregon. Chained up over Ladd just to find out that after I chained and left the chain up area they dropped the chain restriction. So yeah. Now got a good load to Indianapolis and hoping the trucking gods aren't too pissed off at me this week.

They are not passed off at you Joe. They just were concerned you may be feeling neglected.
They are letting you know they care and they are watching you.joseph1135 Thanks this. -

The dreaded northeast....
one of my biggest apprehensions about going with Big G Express was the fact they run a lot of northeast. I hadnt run it since 2005 and didnt really care for jersey or the new england area.
however since running it the last 4 months i am finding it not to be that big of a deal..the biggest reason is the introduction of truck specific gps units and google maps satellite view. .. i dont know how i ever did without them.
Now i know a lot of hardheads who are technologically challenged scoff at these new tools but i am grateful for anything that makes my day easier.
all in all it has taken much of the stress of running the northeast away and there is plenty of freight up here....joseph1135, popcorn169 and Blu_Ogre Thank this. -
Sitting at the AC&T for the night. Noticed a Big G truck across from me. Would that be anyone on here?

That's o.k. Tow even with the modern conveniences I will continue to stay away.
Passing over $100 to get across PA just rubs me wrong. I get talked into taking a run out there a couple of times a year. I end up saying F it and hit the turnpike. Paying the money almost feels like posting bail.double yellow and tow614 Thank this. -
I'm from the NE. I could never understand what people were afraid of. Food is excellent, you don't have to chain up anywhere, there's a ton of freight and a lot of parking (if you know where to look). I'm currently in Iowa on my 30 minute government mandated break, then I'll be in Illinois somewhere on 74 tonight. I'll have about 230 miles to drive on Friday. Yay! Bad part was I missed cranky, we passed each other somewhere in Nebraska....
