After listening to the message push the left arrow button, it will clear the envelope icon and/or move to the next newest message.

Just do not use it to listen to pplans. Then it shows that you have read them and if it is something that needs a answer soon you just might lose it by the time that you pull over

    DocWatson Thanks this.

They should show t-calls on text messages. Nothing like getting excited about a 2000 mile run only to find out it t-calls in 500 miles.

How true!! A couple weeks ago I had that happen. A 2200 mile run came across my phone and when I pulled over to accept it was a live load, 44K lbs and take it 90 miles to a TS and hand it over to a shuttle. WTF!! So I would have to go sit on a dock, scale it and get it legal then drive it 1.5hrs and hand over all my effort to someone else like a Christmas present!?! For a whopping $25. I don't think so.

I called my DM and told her I didn't want to outright refuse it on a Mac9 but I sure didn't want it!! She looked at it and chuckled saying "they have some nerve Huh! Don't worry about it..I just took it off of you myself". Pays to have a good working relationship with your DM.

I was offered a load from Albuquerque to Tolleson, AZ (while sitting at a Costco in Albuquerque). Turned out they wanted me to drive across Albuquerque to another Costco, pick up a load of pallets, then t-call it at the Albuquerque terminal! I called my home terminal and had the t-call voided (so I could take it to Tolleson) then some planner took it off of me. Told me that Costco pallets load don't pay enough for O/Os. BS if you ask me.

Yeah, that deal sounds pretty sketchy. If they wanted it tcalled so bad they could've just sent a day cab after it. I get slightly irritated when a planner wants me to do some local grunt work for their convenience but they won't back it up with something decent.

But he expects you to drive across town ... Albuquerque to Albuquerque ... 0 miles as in free. Besides when did planners have PnL responsibility? It is their job to get the freight moved, not worry about the profit. If that was the case they should be glad we're taking Command loads, as those are very profitable for Swift, instead of getting all pissy about it.

    HousTank Thanks this.

I should probably know this but I don't. What are Command loads?
