no telling what happened. not enough room to park there even dry. it's rained here for almost 2 days. it's a tiny one lane turnoff going down the off ramp to a frontage road.

Pulled the brakes at the house. It's been a long time since I went trucking for a 2 week hitch. It almost don't agree with me anymore. Gonna take me all weekend to get Big Mabel cleaned back up. I hate to park it dirty. Looks like it's back to grain hauling for next week

Many, MANY, years ago I was running west on route #9 in Maine. Yep, the OLD, unimproved, 2 lane, Airline Road. I was loaded REAL heavy with pulp and had 6 or 7 trucks stacked up behind me. About Aurora (1/2 way) I blew an air line and HAD to take the shoulder. It was April and the shoulder (all 2 feet of it - both sides) was soup. Well, I sank axel deep in the thaw, but at least there was one lane open. I spent HOURS yelling on the CB and running with a flashlight playing traffic cop to prevent a wreck. 4 hours later, and two wreckers .... I did the repairs myself, but was hopelessly stuck in goo, I was on the way to Dysarts TS in Bangor for coffee and real soup. Just remember, sometimes it just happens.

yeah that's why I say you just have to wonder how and why. I didn't see it happen. but he was sure digging it in deeper trying to get out.
the odder thing is, there's really nothing down the road he had to turn on to from that road but a closed truckstop you can't even get into....unless they built something down in there i used to live around there.......it's a frontage that goes to a dead end at the lakeSpeedloader Thanks this. -
