My heart hurts for you. I can imagine you playing everything over n over in your mind. You can't fix it so try not to stress over it to much. Do you have an APu or bunk heater to keep you warm?

    Rocks and FatDaddy Thank this.

Thank you Dino... I really appreciate the support...
Yes... Great APU and bunk heater... works wonders! :biggrin_25519: I'm not leaving this truck for nothing tonight... It's very quiet in this wreck yard... :yes2557: Prepared some nice meal... cooked some rice... Had my supper... Tomorrow will walk to corner nearby and buy a bag of ice... it's cold out there... so it will not melt much till I get back to truck... You be safe man...

    Dinomite Thanks this.
  4. ..... I'll just say. I parked at a Walmart for Rocks sake. Its up in Dumas,TX. Amarillo was a zoo. Petro yanked out the one side of fuel pumps. Must finally be adding modern pumps?

    Rocks Thanks this.

Most likely adding DEF and newer pumps. TA in Barstow was doing it the same way.

TA/Petro has been a little slow on getting bulk def in the fuel islands. Many locations still do not have it.

Gonna go ahead and finish my 34 and leave in the morning. Needed to change out the fuel filter and reorganize the truck anyway. I've started to let it get out of hand in here. Lol.

    Dinomite and Rocks Thank this.

This is where I am... in the towing co. yard...

It's very quiet.... I guess many folks in the building didn't know I was in the truck... Walked in this morning and asked if could use the restroom and they all :biggrin_2554: As I walked back outside they asked, "Where are you going...?" And I told them I am in that red semi outside...
This APU makes this truck VERY COZY...

Cleaned all the windows.... Tomorrow will be towed to Freightliner about 20 miles from here and we shall see what will have to be done and how long it will take and how much all this will cost...
I still gotta deliver this load in NJ.... was going to be tomorrow at 7 am... And had another load to pick after that....

In the meantime, my dad in Brasil was admited in a hospital for the second time for acute cholecystitis (gallbladder infection) and there's possibility of a high risk operation... :biggrin_2557:
I must go see him... but need to get that FMLA form from doctor so I don't lose my job... Sent him the form in Spanish a week ago so it's easier for him to understand... although BRAZILIANS DON'T SPEAK SPANISH... Will need for him to fill it out (in Portuguese) as soon as possible and fax it to my co.... He hasn't done it yet...
Still, it might take me almost a month to be able to get where my dad is... It's not as easy as going to another state in the USA and since I have nobody to take care of all that needs to be taken care of for me here and abroad, I will need time to deal with it all... and a "cold"(clear, focused) mind...

All the best to your dad. I'm sure the added burden doesn't help things. Much respect to you doing what you do in a country that is not your native country with a parent who is having health problems back home. I honestly don't know how you do it and I have no idea how I could help you but if any way possible to do anything at all it would be my pleasure to do so.

I had that one done last year rocks.......the plus side of it is the operation is fairly straightforward and routine and recovery time is quick. The worst part is now when it's inflamed and angry. I was only in hospital for better part of a day and went home that evening. Was back in the truck the next week like nothing happened.

A few minor diet alterations after the surgery and a couple of scars and he'll forget he ever had it done.

Dinomite, Rocks and FatDaddy Thank this.
