Deep breath Ms. Rocks.
I agree with others here, work on your travel plan now. A job is just that. "A job"
But family is an entirely different deal.
Rolled into Laramie,wy. Saw the zoo at Petro and pilot. Signs up " no light trailers 50+ winds ahead". So I'm not gonna push over elk. To many mega's taking off with "dryer lint"in trailer. I'll take pics of war zone in morning. Lol -
Hang in there Rocks...

If it's any consolation Rocks, when I look back at those times I've done dumb things myself, it's nearly always due to distraction. With 20/20 hindsight, yeah easily avoided. But at the time you hardly notice till it's too late. If you're half as productive as you seem from your posts here, your carrier will probably not bat an eye at this mishap. Or, for that matter, an extended leave of absence to handle some personal business. I know I wouldn't. And believe me, I've picked up the tab for some really bonehead stuff, including some of my own doing.
Seriously, you're a unicorn (rare). You run hard, never really take home time, keep your truck in "like new" condition, and refuse to idle! You have no idea how much good will that buys you when the time finally comes that you need some sort of consideration. Any carrier that doesn't see that doesn't deserve to have you driving their equipment.
The only advice I can offer is a slight variation on the verse Dino quoted. Focus on the things you have control of and that advance you on your path to what you want. Effort applied to anything else is a waste.
When you find yourself at odds (frustrated, jammed up, indecisive), pause and ask yourself what of these things really matters and what can I actually do about it? If the answer is "nothing," let it go and move on to something else. That diesel in the DEF tank thing is firmly in that category.
On the other hand, caring for your Dad is not out of your control. Ease up on yourself and you'll find a solution. -
Ate breakfast at the Waffle House next door to Liberty (yes joseph1135, I said Waffle House! ).
