White Dog, what I have bolded and underlined.
Yes, by all means those of you that are new, or still in the business and have many more years to go, then YES make a stink about any misinformation regarding your DAC!
I should have said a "disclaimer" that since my signature line says, "hoping to retire soon" that I am near the end of my time on the roads as a licensed CDL professional driver, and I simply couldn't give a flip anymore.
So my bad for not including any disclaimer as this referred to me, NOT wanting to rebuttal any misinformation on my DAC (Hire Right) reports!
Oh and by the way, I did get a fresh copy of my DAC, when I applied for this, all of about 2 weeks ago? I asked for EVERYTHING about me.!
Geesh I got a BIG white package envelope, must have been a thousand papers in it!
It had (all the information I requested) up to and including ALL inquires from trucking companies and the information THEY GOT!
Some companies actually DID GO BACK 10 years on my driving record, and here in MY state when we order one, it only goes back 3 years, and then any information "drops off"
Some companies requested any sex crimes reports! WHEW, AM I EVER GLAD I GOT NOTHING THERE!
Some companies wanted drug and alcohol information!
NOW, I will say this as well, AFTER 7 years information on you is supposed to be closed.
And ANY company NOT IN BUSINESS is supposed to be removed!
I still have 2 companies that are listed as employers, and those are at the very least 10 to 15 years old, and I HAD CALLED (then DAC) and had them removed.! Well apparently they have mysteriously re-appeared, as PAST DAC reports DID NOT include them!
What's up with this sht?
But as I said, will I fight it or rebuttal it?
Hell NO, my time is ending, I could care less anymore!
Yet another DAC question?

I ordered my dac online 6 months ago. I didn't ask for any information. I just requested as per one free a year. Yep. It was a thick white envelope. And still has my first company remark from 15 years ago. Along with the rest of my lifw history.

Hireright falls under the consumer credit reporting acts...
NOT all information dispapears after 7 years.
It can and does have information past 7 years ago legally.
You have the legal right to request a copy once a year, and they may charge you up to $9.00 for that report.
You also have the right to get a copy anytime you have been denied credit, or emplyoment by a company that used hireright.

G Anthony. I had them remove some criminal stuff that wasn't mine and they ended up putting it back on, cost them 4800.00

I am glad to see that in your case, you got them to pay up for the mistake, and this too is what bothers me. My name is spelled with an (') between 2 letters. As such, the (') is sometimes omitted and there fore DAC (HireRight) has my named spelled differently. Someone, that has the letter "D" in the middle of his last name showed up in my profile as an alias.(for instance, D'IggDieo), That "D" is not in the middle of my name. But further down the paragraph it was said it was NOT me. so why even have that on my report?
Like I said, I care not anymore, I'll be gone soon enough.Milkman719 Thanks this. -
There are plenty of good companies that don't use Hire right. My own opinion is that hire right (DAC) is Garbage. I found a good job and I know my first company I worked for put Bull Sheet stuff on it. Dac is not the end all of determining you getting a driving job.
G.Anthony Thanks this. -
I think that way too many companies are aware of the non-sense from them. Back in the day, when one could depend on truth, is was a viable source. But as soon as dispatchers and others in the office got thier hands on the code to get in, the sky was the limit on thier lies.
What I'd like to see is, all the morons that entered mis-information to a DAC, what are they doing now?
