I'm sitting at Pratt paper in Staten island waiting on a load. Got only 1" snow last night.
I don't like picking up from Pratt. They never seem to know what they are doing. Been waiting since yesterday. Ugh

Also I know u dispatch ur self. But you have to admit if it was a girl seeing ur wife it would be hard to be mad. -
I made a return trip back to the W/M Herminston OR D/C. Here are a couple challenging trailers to try hook up to. The ruts are hard to see how deep they are. About 10-12 in. deep. I know you like a good challenge. Try if you dare. There was a Prime drive pulling out another Prime drive just down the row. -

Finally found a load out of home earlier this week and picked it up this morning. Load board has been total crap. It was bad last year this time, but not as bad as this year. Lots of new ICs and **** weather driving everyone south... no good.
I hate winter. I really do. I have no motivation to go outside and work on my truck, or the Deuce, or do anything involving opening a door to the outdoors. Bashing knuckles when a wrench slips turns from a few cuss words into the feeling of "I'm pretty sure I just touched the nerve endings in my fingers to a skillet". But, I managed to get my heat exchanger in the bunk disabled so I will no longer be leaking coolant out of my side box. All of the fittings and the valves appeared to have been "glued" together with some kind of compound (not sure what is normally used for brass, but this **** would NOT let loose), so I just ran a short piece of hose from 1 fitting to the other and disconnected the lines to the bunk heater. Easy enough fix for now. But not without injury, of course. The hoses were clamped with those spring clamps that "suck in" when pressure is released, which requires squeezing them with some adjustable pliers, etc., to remove. I hate these things. While removing one, it snapped out of my pliers and just beelined right for my face. I have never witnessed the true force of these clamps until then. Busted my lip pretty dang bad, it was black and blue all weekend along with the top part of my chin under my lip... LOL. I am actually very lucky it didn't hit me in the eye as that thing flew out with such force it could have easily taken an eye out. Lucky I didn't chip a tooth too but my lip acted as a good shock absorber. Always something...
But, glad to be back on the road, hopefully can keep myself rolling through the weekend. New load way out of my usual zone this time, picked up a live load in NC with a live unload delivery in FL. Luckily not going too far south into FL... I'll just deadhead out if I have to. At the pickup the forklift operator loaded me so fast, from the time I stepped out of my truck to to the time I got back in bills in hand was less than 15 minutes. SWEET. Hopefully it's that fast on the other end.popcorn169 and mickimause Thank this.
