No you don't. They still owe him the money for the work he performed however. That takes some real nerve refusing to pay somebody. If he drove 3000 miles for them he probably earned at least $1200-1500. They owe him half of that at the very worst even if they put him up in a $100 a night hotel for a few nights and fed him a few crappy meals.

 

3000 miles at 30 cpm for a new hire at SRT...900 minus taxes 700 dollars, minus adances 210 ( allowed by company per week) 490 dollars then he has to repay the out of route miles...then the cost of a medical and drug test....in the end he will owe them money!

 

I hope that is true...They should fire anyone that abandons a dead driver like that....

 

Ok. SRT is a cheap outfit to work for....I was just making a case against them not you. They would steal 3 cent off the top if they could!

 

I'm sure they kept his last pay though...to cover all that over idle time while he was laying there getting cold.

 

You probably did. I'm sure they meant that as they have you planned on loads to bring you back to the yard. Not just drop everything and drive from where ever you were n go to Texarkana. 20yrs and you're whining like a rookie.
