Hurst; why are you thinking those are too pricy?? The base set: 16" ramps x4 plus the stands etc for $2650. Anyhow; I have had 3 sets of ramps from Discount and having looked at others feel they are the best built.
A side note.......you are hauling "skidsteers" not "skidders". Skidders are forestry machines; and big LOL

I like to call skid steers skidders,.. cuz,.. well thats what they do. I could just call them Bobcats like everyone else,..

Am I missing something or over complicating it? I do have a tendency to look at things first with a worst case scenario.

Point has been made re what I was describing. His ramps have the tapered ends. Maybe it's the lack of an open parking lot that's causing them to react to the pressure by lifting. Loading roadside is where the trouble starts (roadcrown effect?) at the other end it's fine in a field on his farm

Those ramps really need to be on as flat a surface as possible. I sold mine with my last trailer because the only thing I really used them for was as a step up to the lower deck. Nobody wanted to pay for ramps and same with leveler loads. I could usually find something that paid the same or better without dragging them out. There are a few times I wish I had them again though, but I get by.
Ruthless Thanks this. -

My last set was in November; had under 3k in it installed (myself). Not by much; was 2900 and change. Things have gone up since you bought yours?? I wasn't trying to be argumentative; just was surprised you thought that was high. It's kind of a specialty item......and there are a couple junk versions floating around. The good ones are worth the money. Mine get used weekly; couldn't do what I do without them.Hurst Thanks this. -
Anyway,.. like I said,.. was privy to the install process and asked how much. Said he got a good deal,.. Everything and installed for $2600. They were put on in Aug of 2013. So I guess just like everything else,.. inflation?? The prices have gone up.
I think I would rather buy a trailer with them already there instead of having to go through the process of adding everything I wanted or needed to the trailer later.
I'd like to corner the market on toilet paper. Just buy up every company that makes it and when I'm the only source,.. start charging $20 a roll. Use supply and demand as my excuse for pricing it so high. Wonder how long before someone assassinated me? LOL
