And don't forget those 70 miles comes before and after you already driven thousands of miles. 50 miles is an often-used cutoff deciding whether to let a driver take a truck home.

I wouldn't do it. 35 miles away is my personal maximum. I've done that and even 35 miles after having driven a truck is a very long drive.

I drive 40 miles roundtrip every day to work, and that's bad. If they can't work out a deal, where you take the truck home every day, I would turn it down.

BTW, ever do curtainwall trailers? They have their own problems.

I get frazzled driving 25 minutes each way to and from work here in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Chesapeake area.

70 miles....... I would hate to see your gas & maintenance bills. I would think it would wear on you mentally/physically as well.

Best of luck to you pards!.......I hope things work out for you.

I'm not going to take it unless my recruiter can meet me half way on the ideas I gave him.

my job is 90 miles away. but i only make teh journey when it's time to come home on the weekend. it sucks. but none of the local work is paying anywhere near what i'm making on the regional gig. and it sure would be nice to come home every night.
