Thats a shame. It would have saved them and you a lot of headaches. In that case I say move on. But it sounds like you have a local gig that you don't really want to give up. Best of luck to you sir.

Well just because I have 29yrs behind the wheel doesn't mean I'm not open to suggestions here or there... Yes i can handle these turkeys just fine, I'm going to protect my license weather they like it or not .... In fact they lucked out by not firing me for this, but now they want to bully me and I can't wait to see their faces when I pull in the yd to have a marker light put on,.... Mind you it's only cause we have to cross the scale house, I told them already I'm a reasonable guy just not crossing no scale house with marker lights missing & such, they don't seem to mind that their csa score is bad I guess

Your right, I don't really want to leave these guys I guess it's because it's like my home away from home type thing.... I hate the thought of starting over somewhere else but I think I'm going to have to, the company is getting ridiculous to work for it seems the bigger they get, the more stupid they become, I'm one of the guys who helped get this company off the ground but they only think about numbers, they used to treat us drivers good but I guess they have gotten what they were after

What would I do? Buy some tape & put it on!! But that's me, I'm a problem solver, not a whiney troublemaker trying to make everyone else's job more difficult. I'm sure you could have gotten reimbursed if you didn't come off like a pompous #######.

    The company is ridiculous?..

This thread reminds me of the one where a woman wouldn't pull a drop trailer to the truckstop and wanted them to send a road call/service truck out for a mudflap?

Ok, hold it right here. YOU HAVE as per your BIO, 29 years, and you work for a company that did not fix a broken 5th wheel, yet you still stayed? This tells me that you are not thinking about safety, crashes, death, or injuries, as you continue to work there?

As I see it, you made your bed, when you didn't high tail outta there way back then. That'll be the day I continue to work for a company that does not take care of it's equipment, but you sit here worried about your license and CSA score?

I also hate very much to also add, that there are way too many rookies here that I think would have left that place, after just ONE 5th wheel incident.

    Good luck.

I don't care what the excuse is, you went back there and now you don't want to quit because they are like home away from home? Seriously??

I would have stayed fired and told them to stick it when they called me back.

You are working for a two bit company and you will only apply to prime companies - what am I missing?

I can't wait to see YOUR face when you report them to the DOT and go way back in your story on how they have had a bad 5th wheeled truck and you still drove it, let me know how that works out for you, will ya?

The mere fact that you do not leave, or never left tells me that you are JUST AS RESPONSIBLE as they are.

For your "alleged" 29 years of experience, you display no sense, no common sense, no fore thought of public safety, yet you worry about your license and your CSA (PSP) score?

To quote you, "the more stupid they become"......

Need I say who that actually APPLIES to?

I feel no sympathy for you and your situation.

As I said earlier, you made your bed, now lay in it.
