Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

I'm writing a book. Actually more like a short story. Doing the research/experimentation on it now. I have settled on the title. It's called "Mind Over Bladder".

 

I will keep the thread going:the ops mngr put me on a out of service today,they got upset after i turned down a 2 shags,one from New Kingstown 4am dlvry 150mls and 2nd one from Mucogee or something 30mls.Also got the lecture about the customers and written warnings and service failures the whole shebang.

 

Wow. You actually were told to sit for a day? 30 miles for a load? When do you get to start up again?

 

Anybody going through Tennessee today? I'm leaving Illinois and heading to Knoxville and concerned about the road conditions...

 

That's what's called phasing them in... you know, like having a choice of paper or elogs, before they announce everyone has to have them? It's a gimmick by the insurance companies to supposedly save the trucking companies money on car insurance by switching to "YES MASTA."

 

Well, I guess since you must work for Crete, you must know. Maybe we will see you out on the road!

I got in trouble by the ops manager 2 weeks ago
I laughed at him and hung up I was given 3 shags in a row
I was ticked and told the ops manager I'm done doing favors

 

Don't EVER insult me like that again. You don't ever tell me to Crete.

 

They shut me down all day today too.It really is a love hate relationship working here,but i still like the company for the most parts,thats my 6th year with them.
