I like it for the most part so far. Sure it could be better but it's also better than the majority of others out there. What's the difference in 3-400 for just a gps unit...add on another 100 and you have a tablet and a dash cam. Not a bad deal. I also sold my tnd 720 for 200 so this new one really only had me out of pocket for 300

For a limited time, purchase the new Rand McNally TND Tablet and get 500 instant bonus points. And guess what? It's offered exclusively at Love's Travel Stop locations in February. Read more about the Rand McNally TND Tablet on the Love's List#here -
I play clash of clans and the device really heats up after an hour, granted so does my phone, but this is the only time it really feels hot to the touch (on either device)
I ran wifi and bluetooth to play a netflix movie with audio hitting my trucks sound system via bluetooth and wifi to my hotspot, no real connection issues or playback problems, audio was really rather good, but not fun to lay down and hold a tablet to watch a movie, i think i generally prefer my laptop for movies (unfortunately I need to get bluetooth on it so my sound isnt drowned out by the truck when idling)
I did notice it decides at random (when not playing anything over BT) to turn off the BT connection on its own)
Wifi if not using wifi it will terminate connection with my hotspot but leave the wifi enabled, again, no rhyme or reason for it
And here we have the biggest problem to date and the clincher on my not keeping it

monday, I pulled it off the dock and the little part (on left) started, then on wednesday, I pulled it from the dock and the larger section of screen lines died
my opinion, a solid first TRY at an offering, but the components just will NOT hold up to everyday use much less everyday use by a truck driver, components are priced at premium without themselves BEING premium, there are many kinks to work out and I eagerly await your next offering, but I hope and advise you team up with someone like samsung to make the device and you guys just focus on doing excellent trucking software
PS, make the magnet mount and the standard usb connection standard on all your new devices, I LOVE those 2 thingsLast edited: Feb 20, 2015

The Dock is written for the Mac and the PC, but not the Android.
What does Motorola have to do with it?

I made a comment that had nothing to do with you.
To answer you question, I though Motorola owned Android, but I see that other phone manufactures use it as well, so I was wrong to assume that.
So, Dock was written for Mac and Widows, I get that. But now they have a TND Tablet that runs Android. Why can't they write Dock for Android? Then I could just plug my 720 into my phone. -
Android is a operating system owned bye Google. About 18 months ago Google bought Motorola only to sell it to Lenovo.

Android tablet USB is a Slave, not a Master like a PC/Mac. The 720 is also a Slave. You cant set up an Android phone as a Master. You can connect an Android phone to PC/Mac, just like a 720. But the 720 cant update your phone, nor can your phone update the 720. They are both USB Slaves.

You don't have to try and explain it to me. Unless you want to. I am sure you have enough to do already.
