Sharing information and 'how to' is what TTR should be all about. Whether complex or simple, long or short, it's information one person might use and another person might not. For me, the value is in the information sharing; too many posts rapidly devolve into "if you don't do it like me, you're wrong." There is no value in that.

"Accounting All-In-One for Dummies," by Kenneth Boyd is a good resource. Don't let the title put you off. Its a practical handbook, and the "For Dummies" series packs a lot of information and useful explanation into a single book.

I never said don't keep tabs on numbers. Just that some are not really important. Also never really meant to imply my way was the best or only way, just the way I have found that works best more efficient for me thru trial and error.
