I've run JB Intermodel and DCS, they're not a bad company to work for, pay is fair and work is always there. When I ran Intermodel, the truck was less than 3 years old, I ran out of LA Rail yard and would do lots of Bakersfield, Vegas, and St. George loads. Usually with a back haul back to the rail. Pay was liveable, and yes you do have to live with big brother JB watching over your shoulder. I've been called in for many hard braking events (#### 4 wheels taking your braking area in traffic), etc.

What do they start inexperienced drivers at? I've wanted to go intermodal since day one, and it looks like job hunt does that. (Ive got 3 months in) I'm with schneider OTR now, they require anywhere fro 6 to 12 months OTR experience (depending on the day and which recruiter you talk to) before you can move into Intermodal. I've already got hazmat, tanker, twic. I'd also be going out of the Alliance yard in Haslet tx.

My days off are mon and tues though most guys take the wknd off. I average getting home once or twice a week. But that really depends where I pick up or deliver. We don't have "lanes" per se. It's just Chicago (or St Paul) at one end and pretty much anywhere in Wisconsin roughly north of Kohler at the other end. I'd say about 85% drop and hooks.

I have Hazmat but I don't know if you need it. They won't put a HM load on you if you don't have it. I put on 2400 to 2700 miles week so that breaks down to 480 to 540 a day. But really I bust my buttocks on days 1 thru 4 and take it easy on day 5. I do 550+ a day. I park at Shell (next to Charcoal Grill)

    afrank Thanks this.

Do you deliver in Chicago or st Paul or is it hook up and head north.Sorry for all the questions figured I'd ask someone who actually does it than the recruiter
