At least in the eyes of your cell mates, you'd be a hero for the crime. Unlike pedophiles, rapists, and maybe a tax evader!

    Good God, a tax evader?

They might make you their biotch!

In reality I would probably be to afraid to try to steal that much. My luck there would be someone just out of site keeping watch. The second I tried to unload it, I'd be caught. Thats why I just keep my nose clean. Paranoia has kept me out of trouble,.. and old age has made me wise.

Its just a fantasy to want to steal that much money and get away with it. Even so I think its terrible to admit I would indulge an idea like that. But who doesnt fantasize about being rich?

I grew up in the ghetto of Wash DC. A white kid in SE DC. I was a ward of the state, my foster mom was black. I had 6 other black brothers plus my real brother all in one house. We lived in the Berry Farms project.

So with that information,.. I'll leave it up to your imagination.. but I've done some shady things in my youth. I've been in an out of jail a few times. The one thing I learned. If your going to steal something or break the law. Do it by yourself. Never with someone who can tell on you. Every time I ever got caught was because I was with someone or a group of us and someone snitched.

I'm 46 now. I was married at 22 and had my first kid at 23. I was a hood rat up until that point. Something about holding your first child, realizing that this life in your hands depends on you. How you raise them and the environment that you raise them in will weigh heavily in the decisions your children make as they go through life. My turning point was that moment when I held my first boy. I took a long hard look at my life up until that point and decided I was going to change. Hell or high water I was going to be the father I never had.

So those days of hoodlum ways are long behind me. My kids are grown now. My oldest is in his 3rd year of college. My daughter moved in with her pot head boyfriend as soon as she turned 18. Good or bad, its not for you to decide how your kids will live their life. All you can do is hope they are happy and be there for them when they need you.

Somehow I doubt they'd let you get to Mexico with $4 million worth of gold. Then of course what would you do if you got there. That's not exactly a safe place for gringos with high value cargo

I'm with you. I don't like looking over my shoulder either. I grew up in Fairfax and would go to the shady side of DC and do things back then that I wouldn't dream of doing now.

If there's 8 guys involved in that heist, that's $500,000 each less what it costs to fence/launder it so maybe $400,000 left? That's only 6 yrs work for UKJ. :)

The local news last night said they now think it was NOT an inside job!

The two Hispanic drivers pulled the truck over because they had a strong GASOLINE smell!.....WTF!!!

    The cops are just stupid!!
What are the chances of hitting the shoulder and getting robbed in minutes?...
They said no charges are being filed against the drivers now.....unreal!
