DAC only shows up if you have worked for a company that reports to it. But Hire right runs your Dac, MVR, background.

Thanks for all the replies. I ordered my free HireRight/DAC Report, but it takes up to 15-days to receive. So, I thought to start this thread now. Thanks again!

Right! Dac is mainly run by those do hickey companies. Most decent companies won't know what dac means

The original founder of DAC, had NO NAME for it. He just randomly pulled the letters. Now however, he had sold DAC to I believe USIS, from there, they sold out to HireRight. So now any mention of the founding man are most likely lost, and every time a question comes up on the letters DAC I still try in vain to find any information on the founding man.

I had read a few articles about DAC in it's earlier years, and I can remember that the founder of DAC, actually had the same first letters in his first, name middle and last. However, if I recall correctly, the DAC is jumbled up. For instance, I think the founding man's name was something like, Charles David Anderson, and he just jumbled up those letters to "create" DAC

    It never was for Drive-a-check.

Someone ELSE coined that and it stuck.

The founder of DAC, if I also recall correctly, was from Oklahoma, where the DAC head quarters once stood. I do believe to this day, DAC in of itself, is still located in Oklahoma.

So it's not an acronym specifically meaning anything. It's just the name of a company or guy that runs MVR's and backgrounds. Copy that. Thanks.
