    Wow,
I could not imagine going through what you are going through. I myself have decided to enter the career of trucking and actually start classes in the beginning of Jan. Luckily for my I am a GA resident and they have the hope grant that will pay for my education, so that I am not trapped into a contract with a company. I am currently researching different company to determine which one are ok and which ones I should stay away from. Your post has really given me an idea as to what not only the drivers, but their family have to go through while employed at that company, thanks.

I would think that could be true -or whoever is closer to a load that has hours --or just plain mathematics money rules.

Yep, he's still with them! Things are good for the most part. He's on his third truck though; first one hit 500k and died and the fuel system went out in the second one and was going to take too long to fix so they let him get reseated. It's been pretty great actually. No more negative paychecks is always nice haha.

I just don't understand why married men want to drive OTR........I got a local job straight out of CDL school back in 2013 and now I'm starting to work in dispatch......unless I just got lucky theres way more better options than just being a burger flipper on wheels.

Keep in mind, not everyone want local or working in a dispatch office. I've tried it all, went from OTR to local and also to dispatch and hated every minute of it. Dealing with traffic on local and working in an office really sucked. The pay sucked too. You can make $55K - $65K easily running OTR if you do the research and stay away from the mega starter companies. I've worked with drivers right out of CDL school making $65K running OTR plus a good benefits package and 401K plan. You got lucky for what you wanted, but to many of us that's not good at all. If you want the good money, you graduate from CDL school with all the endorsements, TWIC, passport then go with a company that uses those. That's where the money is and the high standard of living for the wife and children.

I'm married and had no choice but to go back to OTR, work here was very slow, had to pay the bills brother, glad to say I'm not OTR any more, but do miss it somewhat
