None of my posts were inappropriate.

In particular, the quoting of (and response to) another member's post intimating that the engine (or any component of) would run backwards as a result of the use of ULSD, should be left up for anyone to see exactly what kind of ridiculous information a member is putting forward. That way we can know whose posts should automatically be discounted. I am amazed at the amount of mis-information posted by members that other, less experienced members, take as gospel. Of course, that seems to be a significant problem throughout the trucking industry - not checking facts. IMHO. YMMV.

Yes and some posters think a diesel and gas motors are the same.Like I fixed my 454 Chevy by running haywire trough this thingamajig so it will work on your 550 Cat.

 

Attached is a photo of mis-fueling a 2008 Acert motor. The high sulfur eats through the turbo wastegate hose. If you see this, you've got a problem.

 

Are you saying that one should not add oil to his tanks?

What are the results of ULSD in an 09 truck designed for this? My dad is looking at an RV with 425 cummins engine. Should he buy new or will be ok with an 05 engine?

 

I've had mechanical motors run backwords but it has nothing to do with low sulfer diesel... lol

 

This is the sulferic acid I was talking about....once you see this, time to call the insurance co.

 

The old 2-stroke Detroits would do that.
