#1 cylinder was flush with the block on one side while the other side was .001 below deck height. (sleeve needs min of .0005 ABOVE deck)
# 3 cylinder was .001 above deck height on one side while the opposite side was .003 above deck height. (yes, ####ed by .002)
Three sleeves were installed at .0005 above deck height (this is the lowest acceptable protrusion recommended by Detroit). (barely passable)
The remaining sleeve was flush which is below the minimum acceptable limit of .0005. (flush = no head force on sleeve)peterbilt_2005 Thanks this. -

It sounds a little like everyone is bashing Jeff the owner now from overheating it to 220° when it still had the Evans coolant and causing engine damage
220° seems no where near hot enough to dislodge the linersdouble yellow Thanks this. -
Sorry it came off the Sirius web site .....joseph1135 Thanks this. -
The Detroit Engineer said early in the show that if the motor is running over 180 degrees that the motor has sustained damage to the liners. I guess PP did not know it was not good to run a Detroit at these higher temps.
i liked his mention of a BBC being run hot and the permanent distortion that occurs from that condition.Riprap Thanks this. -
This is like the hundredth time I hear bad feedback for PP (PITTSBURGH POWER) I would stay away from these guys. And the BAD MUTHA TRUCKER 'GLIDERS' are problematic and work, time and money consuming. There were at least 100 calls I've heard on his show throughout the months I listened, that had problems with their GLIDERS.

Easy to throw the owner under the truck so the hot shots don't have their reputation ruined, not to mention lay out the money to replace the motor. I feel sorry for the owner. Though this was the show I waited for. Everyone pointing fingers, I was hoping for some yelling though...
