STAY AWAY from WERNER....BAD & getting WORSE

You may want to stay away fron US Express

 

Why? What information do you have? I have had several on another site of primarily o/o say USX would be my best choice. What do you know that maybe they don't? Any help is greatly aprreciated.

 

If it's the same company, Eagle is just an off-shoot of Werner. We have talked with quite a few of their drivers, and most seem to be looking elsewhere. Same basic garbage, they just push you harder. A lot of what they get are time-sensitive runs that other driver couldn't make ( breakdowns, illness, etc..) Mind you, this is just the information we've gotten from their drivers. If it's a different company, I hope they are much better. Hope you find something that works for you. We are currently looking into Andrus, as they are fairly close to home. Haven't heard much about them yet, and can only hope.

I came right out of school and went to werner because I am not a fan of paperwork and the qualcomm attracted me. All I know is that they split every 1 of my significant loads and the final straw was having me stuck in new orleans for a week because my trailer was loaded backwards and the walmart that was supposed to get it first wouldnt compromise and get iti last!! instead of allowing me to drop the load and keep on trucking they made me wait untill the whole mess was str8ened out!!! I asked them to route me home to atlanta from there and i got home and never looked back!!

 

what kind of accidents were they ? Were they accidents involving other vehicles. I have 2 incedents and 1 accident but none of them involve another vehicle and they said they would take me back. I am wondering if they are going to turn me away now.

 

I think they all do that. I was working for a smaller company 400 trucks. Anyway got to the con the night before. I had a 07:00 app. Got there at 21:00 the night before. Sent a messege arrived at con. Don't you know at 02:00 I got woke from my sleep with a messege asking me if I was ready to head to con. Sent a messege back stateing I was already there . They then sent a messege to me sorry didnt check our messeges. DUH. It is annoying but I think it is part of the territory.

 

Well.... the only company I know anything about is Werner... but I would definately stay away from them... I know there are some people that seem to like working for them... but they seem to be few and far between.... good luck and keep us informed... I still need some good places to try for!!!!!

 

USX wanted me to sign and fax return an agreement to drive team after I finished training--else lose the job. I didn't want to drive team, so I decided to look for another company. This policy seems to be a recent one related to the economy.

 

I believe you are right as I talked to my recruiter the other day and was told they are hiring team only west of I-83 and are not even hiring in NM right now. That made my decision a little easier--one less company on the list.
