Why is holding 2 weeks a big deal, every trade job I've every had that pays bi-weekly ends up the same way. You work up to three weeks before you get your first check- which is only for one week. Then two weeks later you get your check for two weeks pay. Wtf everywhere I worked is that way.

Beyond Transport... you really want my opinion/observations??

You only have 16 total trucks, yet have EIGHT HOS violations just since the first of the year.
If I scroll down to prior to Jan 1st, it's an endless list of violations.
The "Unsafe Driving" category is abysmal, also.

I see no reason for the 2-week pay holdback and the $1000 escrow, if you were a legitimate company.
This amounts to holding a "security deposit' on each driver, with you as the sole 'judge' of if that security deposit is returned after the driver decides to leave your employ.
We all know how well security deposits are returned in most cases of rental housing. I imagine you have the same return statistics.

Held for possible truck damage, you say?? You're a motor carrier and that's why you carry insurance.
I'm not working for any company that can hold my $1000 just because you 'think' that blown turbo, or broke u-joint (and resulting tow bill) was "my fault".
Sorry pal, you have every right to go to small claims court if you feel valid,, just like I'd have to go to small claims court to get back $1000 that you wrongly held for mis-judging damage to be 'my fault'.

But no way will I ever succumb to a $1000 escrow.
Horrendous CSA scores,, 2-week holdback,, $1000 escrow... the writing's on the wall with 3 huge red flags.
I do commend you on keeping your biz W-2 style, tho!

Try reading it again. It has nothing to do with being paid bi weekly, they pay weekly but hold back 2 weeks. There's a difference, I don't have a problem being paid every 2 weeks.

personally I think holding someone's pay for 2 weeks is excessive. I can understand 1 week as most companies do. The other problem i have is the escrow generally escrow is for owner operators or for lease purchase. It seems to me that if the driver has an at falt accident you're using a he $1000 to cover the deductible. You also don't have benefits I understand you don't feel the company overnight. I'm not going to say your bad company, but nor do i think you're a good 1.

wait a minute I just read about your csa score. I'm going to have to say that you are bad company. And a dot magnet

They hold 2 weeks and $1000. escrow good luck getting that back when you quit.
And whats that escrow for? Why would a Company driver need it?
