Why would you need a dyno when you have a slide rule and a calculator?

    Hammer166 Thanks this.

PP has 2 chassis dynos and 1 engine dyno at their shop, info from PP website-
"The Pittsburgh Power Engineering Center is now open. This new facility adds four service bays, two chassis dyno bays, an engine dyno test cell, engine blueprinting room, expanded machine shop and three full time engineers."

I agree. At 100k its hard to imagine an OEM part failure. Like KR says, lets see the service you recieve a after a failure!

I am less than impressed by PP now. Bruce writes articles bashing other shops for not setting the liner height correctly, and OEMs for having engines delivered out of balance. He gives the impression that they machine the block and crank. No they don't, they get the dumb OEM to do it for them, then they tear a new reman engine apart to micro blue it. I wanted to have them rebuild my DDEC 3, but if Detroit is good enough for them, it's good enough for me. At 1/4 the price!

Bruce Malinson is the owner of Pittsburgh Power. He has an article in "Movin Out" and one or two trucking "adazines" regarding high performance diesel engines.
