I have bought 4 different parts from them, on 3 separate occasions. The first 2 times, I was lead to believe they manufactured it, or designed it. That is a muffler and turbo for 12.7. I paid around $1,000.00 for a Borg Warner turbo I could have bought elsewhere for $800.00. The last time, I knew I was buying a Vibratech damper, but APp's price was lower than others I had seen online. PP will not be relieving me of anymore money.
double yellow Thanks this. -
I don't see what was very radical about this engine, all bolt on stuff as far as I can tell. Maybe a bit of balancing, blue printing I dout.
I talked to Bruce about some minor upgrades, didn't seem to be very interested, went to Terries instead.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
But he gives the impression that's what they do, doesn't he?

I have never dealt with PP on machine shop stuff but have used their programmers for both Cat and Cummins and was really impressed. My old boss had a Case IH STX480 with a Cummins and we put a PP box on it, we always ran it on the 3rd setting to avoid getting the egts too hot but it had way more power and burned quite a bit less fuel besides. and I drove a 379 straight truck with an e model cat with their box on it, made quite a difference on it too. but I do think they are WAY overpriced....

Oh god I just heard KR say that he wants to do an N14 in a glider... please is this an old show or did his experiment on a Detroit really make him want to go for the N14?
Back to this experiment, any new updates on the motor? If not hopefully soon, this cannot stay hidden forever! -
dannythetrucker Thanks this.

Must have bought them after the fact ,like after they cashed their check from building the KR Siganature Mobile. -
I would certainly hope PP tested, tuned and thought they had the best combination when the engine went into the truck.
You will never see a Cummins Cat or Detroit OEM shop take a risk like Bruce did because they wont dare have their brand associated with junk should something disasterous like this happen, im assuming the factory cheese would prohibit it from the start. Who knows, maybe CAT/detroit/Cummins research dept have tested something like this behind closed doors and couldnt get it to work either, we'll never know, they dont advertise failures.
For the risk that nobody else takes in public eyes I give Bruce credit.
However, I give him zero points for not coming forward and taking charge of cleaning up this mess! -
