Thanks, and when you hire drivers you will find plenty of reasons that the escrow is important. Drivers have different situations and require the escrow for themselves sometimes. We've had drivers say they need it for personal reasons and boom here is an extra grand. Then we just work on re filling it.

That and keep the trucks in better shape and the DOT score will come down.
Make each driver do a pre-trip the right way....not just thump a tire and drive off!
Run the trucks through the shop as much as possible checking everything over...

Invest a little extra time and pay to have a good mechanic in the shop who will stay on top of things.
It may cost a little extra now but will pay off BIG in the end.

All of these things are the cost of operating a company. Crappy employees cost companies money in every industry. Good employees make companies money in every industry. Give the employees incentive (benefits, pay, don't use their income to operate, etc) to do their work and do it well, and all will be rewarded. It's not a driver's concern to know how much it costs you to run your business.

Yes, I already acknowledged that mistake. Also I am familiar with NET 30, 60, & 90. My g/f is also a realtor so we know all about waiting for payments to clear. Even had moments where she was expecting payment and the the bank last second denies the loan and all the effort she put in for the past month was for nothing. However you own the company so you have to front the cash as you're the one offering the net 30 payments not the shipper. Still no reason to withhold the payments for so long. I used to get paid monthly and would never do it again, because if the company folds they have all my money tied up, so I prefer weekly installments so less of my capital is tied up in case the company crashes.

I think what everyone here is saying though is that your business structure doesn't attract good drivers only the bottom of the barrel, so that's why you're struggling to find drivers who aren't pigs or unprofessional. Your offering is scaring away the good drivers from giving you a sniff based on those items already stated by others.

After reading your original post, then seeing your CSA score and your requirement for your drivers to have an escrow account I will give you my opinion. Are you a bad trucking company? I don't think so, but you aren't a driving job that I would apply for.

......what a bunch of bull - Shaggy defending the company that holds onto driver pay for 3 weeks and then when the poor driver asks for an advance Shaggy dumps on the driver and defends the company ! - what baloney ! - listen, the driver isnt a "charity case" - he's just asking for his paycheck ! .......it ticks me off when brown-nosing drivers turn on other legit drivers who are only asking to get their paycheck ! - get your brownie-points by earning them

il give ya credit beyond .
it sounds like you are taking steps to clean up the mess ya currently have and get with the times which is more than alot of companies do but ya get what ya pay for .
the bad companies are the ones that keep screwin theyre drivers and then whine and cry about a driver shortage ...i want a 1000 dlr caddilac in prime condition and cant find one but that dont make a caddy shortage lol.
i wish ya the very best but i wouldnt work for ya at this time .
