Sounds like you are having my luck. Type in a huge response or a long email to someone and then the program crashes or something.

I wanted to let you know on Feb. 9th of this year I spun a number 4 bearing in a cummins isx with 508000 miles. I took it to mhc kenworth in Chattanooga Tn. and they wanted $23,000.00 for a short block plus labor and $30,000. for a long block including labor. But, I found a place in Tn. if you are willing to take you truck to TN that will completely rebuild your motor,he is doing mine, for $14,000.00. If you are interested in his information let me know.

Tough choices vadem 2200: 1. Fix it or walk away? A: Can you barrow the money against it or from somewhere else for repairs? Survive the down time? Rush buying a truck and possibly make a mistake while messing up your credit because you surely won't continue to pay for this one. Get a job? Remortgage the house (oh no). Buy a new note book with pencils & work on it. Tough! B: The shop: If you feel that uncomfortable this early on get out while you still can. C: Rebuilding it: That things scrap and I could make a long explanation. Or just to costly to justify rebuilding. I have bought some engines from Kerns in basket cases like like this and yes you can find them cheaper. They pull the pan, inspect liners cam etc., if it looks good replace rods, mains, and run overhead. Warranty for 30 days, if there is a problem get it to them and they will fix it. The dealerships probably won't install a used engine. A reman is harder to pencil, but yes consider the warranty, and they may not except your core. Double check my info, it's been a long time. Good Luck.

there are a lot of companies, which make good quality aftermarket parts... I would not call OEM parts the best, or they would not fail at 500k
