I used to but luckily was able to park at the customers.
I still run tampa / Ocala a lot but same deal I don't have to deal with the truckstops down there much unless dispatch just blows it
this was in new Albany, ms. First time I'd ever seen this one done in 4 years. Seen a bunch of guys tie up the lane in the correct direction before but never seen one pounce on an open lane backwards and just grab his bag and say #### you all lol
I hate Peoplenet, where are you parked and recipes thread

I had a nice 30 minute break today. I pulled into the rest area on I85 at the NC SC line to take a leak. As I was walking back to my truck I noticed a bunch of nice looking college age girls getting out of a tour bus. They started stretching and jogging around. Then one did a handstand on a picnic table for about 30 seconds.
They were the University of NC gymnastics team. I decided to take my 30 minute break there. Much nicer view than the truck stop.FatDaddy, ncmickey, tsavory and 1 other person Thank this. -

I know HS girls didnt look like that in 1970 -
Some days it's trucking... Other days it sounds like trucking but starts with a F!!
i delivered this AM early and went back to the truck stop. Got some more sleep. Went to my 1530 pickup at Coca Cola in Niles Ill. Went to the window at 1445. Guy asked me what time my appointment was. Told him 1530. He told me to leave and come back at 1515. Ok whatever. I go back in 1/2 hour later and he checks me in and tells me to write down my phone number. He will call with a door. Ok cool...don't know why you couldn't do that 30.minutes ago..and don't know why I'm getting all the bad attitude.... But whatever. I was polite and was wearing my smile.
3 hrs later they call.... To tell me my order was cancelled. Course that's just enough time so my dispatch has left. So I call after hours and they are trying to straighten it out... But probably not I g happening tonight....
so back at the Greater Chicago 55... Waiting till morning... Which probably will screw up my load for the weekend...
My 'Jersey' almost came out. Seriously... I keep it locked up in a cage in the back room... But if it slips out the door... It ain't pretty... I haven't had it get loose in a while... Last person who saw it was the young man who was letting his dog crap in my yard and not cleaning it up. When I politely told him to clean it up and stop... He told me to 'go inside old man before Ya get hurt'... (I'm only 48 8)... Let's just say he was calling me 'sir' after that. I was in that young bucks face pronto asking him...begging him to do something.... The Sapranos really captured to spirit of 'Jersey' Hahaha he picked up all that dog crap too... He was nice as pie after that... But he told another neighbor that I Was crazy... hahaha...never screw with the crazy neighbor!!!
but I was able to slam the door and keep it locked up another day.....
well, here I sit....runningman0661 and Rocks Thank this. -
Pratt, KS
I should stop taken this route. Family fled this area toward the end of WWII. Good thing I got a nanny computer or I'd cook the books and boogie to a place that don't make me twitchy........TruckDuo Thanks this. -

Hey... I don't know how I missed this posting of yours yesterday...It seems to be for real... Never seen anything like that though... back in the 80's hitchhiking with truckers... But considering it's VERY COMMON for truckers here to drive drunk and loaded on drugs... no wonder...
This is ONE of the reasons I WOULD NEVER BE A TRUCK DRIVER IN BRASIL...
Brazilian roads are among the most dangerous in the world! They are death roads as one trucker called them once... And there's no law enforcement...
Was chatting with one guy today... he told me he drove a loaded semi from one state to another with no professional driver's license...He was with a friend... his friend was the "professional" who let him drive the truck... and it was a company truck...
He told me truckers pulling produce and fish drive non-stop... for over 48 hrs sometimes... There's absolutely no law enforcement of their HOS... and no place to park either... And I guess, the new generation of truck drivers in Brasil is much worse, much crazier and inconsiderate of others than the older ones... I guess it's the same anywhere else...
