BTW... I found this video about truckers in Amazonas...

I once almost hitchhiked with my boy friend up there... But after over 15 straight days eating dust, with no shower on a road, we changed our minds and went to northeast instead... never been in the north region of Brasil... it's not for the "weak" folks at all... maybe only for the craziest ones... :biggrin_25523:

Hey TruckDuo, I posted another video on your visitor page... it's a short documentary on TV about Brazilian truckers performing that "quebra de asa" on public roads... The reporter interviews highway patrol, co. folks and others... This practice is done on purpose... Generally there are two trucks or more... and maybe some other vehicles too. They communicate with each other via CB and record each other to post the images on social media... Pretty irresponsible and dangerous....

Welcome my friend... I wasn't aware of that "practice".... it's good to know... Glad I am not making long trips on these roads... :biggrin_25512:

One more thing I found out, the existence of "flogueiros"... they are teenagers that stand on the side of highways with cameras in hand, taking pictures of big trucks to post on social media... and some asking truckers to do those crazy maneuvers for them... some lay down on the road and almost in front of the trucks... :biggrin_2552:

Kicked my load off in Ardmore at 0300. My preplan cancelled so I had to scramble to find something else...found a load picking up in Roanoke, TX at 2100 droppingat the Walmart DC IN Searcy AR. So I grabbed that and will run vampire tonight drop this and DH back to Little Rock and pick a preload up going to Hotlanta area

Currently at the TA in Denton. Drove down here after off loading. Spent the day caching up with bills and organizing the truck. Just woke up from a nap so I can run tonight.

Just come sliding in to the house in my big rooster cruiser. Gonna swap wagons and put the rice bran off on the hired hand. I got cows to haul Sunday morning. If this #### rain don't stop so I can get my shine on soon I am gonna feel like a steering wheel holder for a mega I hate having a dirty ride.
