    I am a nightmare.
Trying to get my back taxes filed so I have some record of self employment and than went down to the courthouse the other day and got a date set to see a judge to get a Restraining order against me that is 15 years old removed.

i have a couple misdemeanors one of them being Battery on a minor from my Past son that I was going to get esponged but the lady at the court talked me out of it, told me to save the one get out of jail free card for something serious like a Felony.

I just changed careers from computers (last 15 years) and a lot of that was contract work so I have a lot of gaps of no work. Most of my time was for 1 “head hunter” but at different locations, some for up to a year at a time the last was 3 years. I do the best I can on dates and who I worked for. I also hope it shows I am willing to “stay put” for some time with the yearlong contracts. Before that I was in HVAC at a hospital for 15 years.
Yes I do put down the time I was at driving school as I treated it like a job, there every day & on time also to help fill the gap.

Because of the career change I got all endorsements added to my class A license, I had a class B for 30 years, to open more doors. I also got my TWIC card and my first job is driving a class B heating oil tank truck so I am using TWIC/Tanker/HAZMAT. If I was to stay in the area come summer I could drive a water trailer truck and I think that would be fun.

I say do the best you can on the dates and hope when they are called they give a good review.

Welp, it looks like I am going to be contacting past employers. I'll see how that works out. I haven't started applying to jobs yet, but it look's like my work history is gonna be my biggest hurdle.

On the bright side, I have about 4 years of pizza delivery experience while maintaining a spotless driving record. That has to count for something, right, guys? Right????

Haha was it the money or working conditions/job? It was really rough for me at first because it was my first job and was a rough company to deliver for to begin with.

I refused to stand on the corner holding a Dominos sign when there were no deliveries lol. The delivery part was actually pretty fun for my 17 year old self.

Haha I have never done anything like that. I am surprised they even let you at that age. It's my current job, and its either fun or boring to me. Most aren't has optimistic about it.

What would happen if you did't give them a company you worked for? How would they find out? (NON Driving Jobs)

Many aspects of Human Resources are useless at best.

Some companies (no, not trucking) are getting rid of HR:

    http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304819004579489603299910562

And Google has given up on the legendary Google brain-teasers:

    http://www.theatlantic.com/business...rs-were-completely-useless-for-hiring/277053/

I'm a good guy, my friends like to hire me to work on their roofing jobs, etc. I recently had an 824 FICO score (fell back to 750), have lived in the same house (which I remodeled) for the last ten years, been peeing in cups for the last decade, but my spotty work history (and perhaps that workman's comp application) have big companies shy of me. I couldn't get hired to work in the FedEx hub....

I had no trouble with my HazMat Risk Assessment, but numerous temporary staffing companies have me on their Do Not Use list, including Integrity Staffing, the Amazon.Com staffing company. AND I HAVE NEVER WORKED FOR INTEGRITY OR AMAZON....

It's easy for me to understand that many usual and customary aspects of screening a potential employee are fallacious and useless.

Haha I know the feeling! I have always just gave year/month on job apps, that way if your off a bit atleast your not lying. Most previous employers arent going to go digging through the files to verify.
