Beer In Sleeper 392.5a

The only time I was ever searched was at a Customs station coming back in out of Canada. I got caught in a random search. I have never had cops search my truck any other time.

Happened to me back in the late 90's....
Picked a case of Coors up for my boss....That was before they sold it here in NC.

Had it in the trailer sealed in the case.

Got in a DOT inspection in TN. When they used to setup in those pull off areas on I-40.
As soon as they opened the trailer they told me to turn around and place my hands behind my back.
They were arresting me! WTF!!!

I talked them into getting my boss on the phone from their DOT van...they did after writing me 3 tickets.
Beer in a CMV, and 2 other BS tickets.

My boss kept me out of jail...he paid almost 2000 bucks total over the phone by credit card.
They charged him a 150 dollar fee to do that too.
AND they put the beer in the trunk of a State Trooper car!......I bet they enjoyed it later that day!

 

Huh. I've never been asked to open the trailer during any inspections. Except when I was pulling step deck.

That's great but I am sure next posting will be who will hire me with getting a ticket for alcohol in my truck.

 

If you got a fine then the citation was for a state V.C. Is it just the fine or can the DL(not cdl)also be suspended?

 

So, you just had a DUI and now you got caught with beer in the truck? Maybe you should lose your CDL because apparently you don't really want your CDL.
