When looking at a preplan and seeing if you have enough time to get there on time, how close do you cut it concerning delivery time and the hours you have left. For example I had a 900 mile run that if I accepted it, I would only have 1.5 hr leeway if I got into traffic or construction. Plus it was a tracked load. I took it and delivered on time. I have took loads that only had an hour to spare a few times. Is this normal? Or am I risking being late? What do you do?

Wild Murphy Thanks this.

I usually accept loads if I have 1.5 - 2 hours to spare. Sometimes even closer, depending where the trip goes, as some areas the traffic would make it difficult to be on time. So I guess it varies depending on the routing.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
