We do all dry bulk. Plastic pellets and some powders. They do have some liquid tanks at the Morris yard, and one of the trainers said they are looking at getting into liquid in the future. Not sure what kind of liquids they are looking at getting into.

I've been reading your thread and I've been thinking about bulk for a while. How are things going with A&R?
-
Same here!! Enjoy reading the few post on A&R. Any info on the Jackson TN terminal
. -
So far things are going very well. We are always busy and I have been making good money. I am really enjoying hauling dry bulk now that I am getting better at the loading process. If you are looking into working for A&R we have a terminal in Atlanta. I was at that terminal a few months ago and everyone there was really nice. I talked with one of the trainers from that terminal. He was very friendly and helpful and answered a few questions I had about the rail yard we were loading out of.
-
I have not been to that terminal yet, but one of the drivers I talked to last week was from Jackson and he said he liked it there.
-
Thanks for the update and info on the Atlanta terminal. I am planning to be at MATS (Mid America Trucking Show) next week, I see A&R is going to be having a recruiting table there. Looking forward to seeing what they have to say.
Thanks and be safe! -
Your welcome. If you decided to go into dry bulk hauling the one thing I would say is give it time. Learning the loading and unloading process can be a little overwhelming at first, but after about three months it gets much easier. There are some guys that get overwhelmed and quit within the first week because there is a lot to learn when you are first starting out. The two main things are you have to be in decent physical shape to lift and hook up the steel hoses, and not be afraid of heights so that you can climb on top of the trailer.Ringo1 Thanks this.

I've been with A&R for about 15 months. It's a great place to work at. Pay is great, ppl are professional
and always willing to give you advice or a helping hand.
Welcome aboard DMAX66! I'm always shooting through Morris if you ever see my pete 2753 give me a shout out.
Btw A&R has an excellent Facebook page. If you have any questions. Someone is always on and most of the time you'll get some pretty decent advice.jjano Thanks this. -
Thanks. I will watch for you. Do you have a Pete 379 or a 386?

I've read lots good things and a few bad. But if something about referral comes up in the first sentence in a conversation. IMO that's kinda red flag for me.
DADof3 Thanks this.
